First Family Shoot

I was blessed to be able to shoot a wonderful family of 4. I finally finished post processing my photos late last night and I am not super happy with them. I think the sun was too harsh and there is too much shadowing. Plus it was really warm this day so I think that there is some effects from that. It was busy at the beach so it was kind of, well wherever we found a spot that was clear. I will post some pics that I will admit myself to taking but I feel really bad. I never realized the sun went down so late. This was between 4:30 and 5pm and the sun was still so high up and so harsh! I feel horrible for this wonderful family that their pictures were not the best I could offer them. It was my first real shoot at the beach and my first family shoot so I guess it is not allowed to be perfect. I hope that I will get another opportunity to shoot this family this summer possibly later in the evening or a different location where there is some open shade. Thank you though for allowing me to photograph your family!

First of all I have to say we are always our toughest critic, but I honestly still think those are great looking pictures. You seem to have great creativity for posing and composition. I do agree with you that the sun was harsh, but hey, sometimes nature works against us and there is only so much we can do. But wow, you couldn't ask for a more beautiful setting! I'm not sure what your set up is now, but eventually when you have more money to spend on the business then reflectors, scrims and fill lighting will help you out with this. Families/Children/Maternity/Senior:
One hour session with full resolution images on CD or total in print credit - $150

Newborns (up to 16 days old):
One and a half hour-two hour session with full resolution images on CD or total in print credit $200

Prints:
I get all my prints done from a professional print lab. Please ask me for pricing and I include the pricing with your CD. I encourage you to get your prints from me as I believe in the best quality photos for you and your family. I charge extremely fair prices on the quality of prints. I also offer canvas and specialty items. Any questions please ASK!!

The Beginnings Package:
Maternity, Newborn, 6 months, 1 year. $300
-Must pay for half at time of Maternity session and other half at time of 6 month session. Each session is normal length and does include a CD for each session. Prints can be ordered for a 10% discount with this package!
